I FOUND
A GOOD HOME
You can find me and my seven siblings at the foot of the Empire State Building in New York at the new Rattle and Hum Bar.
WHERE DO YOU
GET YOUR STUFF?
We hear this question every day. Actually we're quite fortuntate.
One way is through gracious donations. Developers, do-it-your selfers and pack rats bring us their architectural salvage so they don't wind up in a landfill and they find a good home. (We love donations -- it helps keep Building Character and Lancaster, Pa., sustainable.)
If you have an item for donation, e-mail us a picture and provide dimensions and details of the item. Keep in mind we don't arrange for pick-up; it would have to find its way through our doors.
Building Character also partners with several salvage companies and local preservation groups and civic-minded citizens to save and preserve architectural treasures.
On occassion, if an item is unique, we offer consignment options.
