Kudos to those in town for pushing art off the wall and into interactive and engaging venues. Just Wednesday, the "Drawing on Location" art class from Franklin & Marshall College spent the afternoon at BUiLDiNG CHARACTER. The artists' assignment was to capture their image in a reflection from an object in the shop. Kudos to Professor Maksymowic and her students. And kudos to the art students around town on the streets, in coffee shops, at Central Market and more. And art is being pushed into vacant store fronts, and in new outlets from barbershops to pet-grooming salons. And music can't be ignored. I'm hearing it all around town, especially at BUiLDiNG CHARACTER. See you around.

I'm using this space as a shameless plug for one of our favorite groups, The Faux Minx. Most Tuesday nights you can find them jamming at BUiLDiNG CHARACTER. They've been rehearsing for their new EP, and in fact have been recording some of the songs in our digs. You can usually catch them around 8 p.m. If you miss them Friday night during MusicFRIDAY, you can hear them online by clicking HERE. Or catch them at BUiLDiNG CHARACTER on First Friday to kick off the official opening of our artMARKET.
